Mark Adams

Senior Vice President, IMG Golf Course Services, Asia Pacific


Mark is responsible for IMG’s Golf Course Services in the Asia Pacific region, under his direction the group has designed or are designing over 65 golf courses. Since joining IMG in Singapore, Mark has created and directed operations in event management and sponsorship sales of many high profile events throughout Asia. Mark holds a BA of Economics degree from Rollins College, FL, USA and an MBA from Thunderbird School of International Management, AZ, USA.

Michael Pask

Senior Vice President IMG Golf, Academies and Sports, Leisure and Tourism


Michael Pask is a Senior Vice President of IMG Golf, Academies and Sports, Leisure and Tourism. Michael graduated from St. Andrews University with a first class degree in Geology. Michael initially joined IMG in 1990 within the golf division. Having successfully completed a cycling expedition across South America in 1993-1994 Michael rejoined IMG in 1995. Amongst other roles he now spearheads IMG’s Golf Course Services Group (GCSG), which provides the link between European Golf Design and IMG. IMG’s GCSG specialises in providing a fully integrated service to clients in the planning, design, construction, supervision, management and marketing of golf developments and concepts throughout the world. IMG Golf Advisory is also run by Michael
Alongside these advisory roles Michael is also client manager to: Michael Johnson, Sir Steve Redgrave and Ian Thorpe.
In addition to the above Michael has been instrumental in developing the David Leadbetter Golf Academy business in Europe and Asia into a successful, profit-making company with 22 full time academies and various sponsorship and corporate relationships.
In his role as part of the Sports Leisure and Tourism Group he is involved in a whole range of sports developments around the world. Michael Pask is also a Board Director of European Golf Design.

Paul Burley

Vice President, IMG Golf Course Services, Asia Pacific


Paul is currently Vice President, IMG Golf Course Services responsible for IMG's golf course management business in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, and is also charged with business development responsibilities for the Golf Course Services Division. Paul has over 20 years experience in the golf industry, has done work in 17 countries and managed several of the world's leading golf facilities. Prior to joining IMG, Paul was responsible for managing golf at Turnberry in Scotland, the UK's number one golf course, venue for The Open Championship in 2009 and one of the leading resorts in the world. Paul also had responsibility to oversee all golf properties in Europe managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Paul previously worked for IMG as Director of Operations in Singapore and prior to that managed the golf club at Sun City in South Africa. 

Paul is a member of the British PGA, Club Managers Association of America and Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

Cameron Thompson

Director of Agronomy


 


Based in Suzhou, China, Cameron is widely regarded as one of the golf industry’s leading authorities on golf course maintenance. He is responsible for overseeing the turf conditions at IMG’s portfolio of golf courses in Asia Pacific and ensuring playing surfaces are maintained to world class standards. Prior to joining IMG, Cameron worked at several high profile projects including Amata Spring Country Club in Bangkok, Thailand, The Tiger Woods Dubai in UAE, Lake Malaren in Shanghai and The Abaco Club in the Bahamas. He has prepared golf courses for several high profile international golf events including WGC HSBC Champions at Sheshan Golf Club and the Royal Trophy at Amata Spring Country Club. Cameron is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and Australian Golf Course Superintendents Association.

Greg Sproule

Managing Director, IMG Middle East


A graduate from the University of Calgary’s Scurfield Hall business program, Greg joined IMG in 1994 in its Singapore regional headquarters. There Greg was responsible for business development in golf course design, golf course management and sports academies activities in Asia and the Middle East. In 2005, Greg became Managing Director of IMG’s operations in the Middle East. In a short period of time he secured several landmark deals, including Tiger Woods being hired by Tatweer to design his first golf course in the world.

Andreas Doring

Director of Operations


Responsible for IMG’s Golf Course Management properties in Europe, Eastern Europe and Africa, Andreas’ remit from London covers the planning advisory, consulting, golf operations and new business development for IMG’s strategic partners. A PGA professional, Andreas has over 20 years of experience in golf resort operations and in 2002 completed an MBA in Golf Resort Management in Scotland.

Michael Gu

Director, IMG Golf Course Management, China


Based at Jinji Lake Golf Club in Suzhou, China where he also serves as General Manager, Michael is responsible for overseeing membership sales, strategy and planning at our portfolio of clubs in China. He has over 15 years experience of golf club management in China, and prior to joining Jinji Lake Golf Club, he was the senior manager of Grand Shanghai Golf Club and Sunrise Golf Club. He established these two golf clubs as the leaders in the Grand Shanghai area, and is now widely recognized as one of China’s most influential club operators. Michael joined Jinji Lake in 2003 as Membership Director and in 2008 was promoted to become the first Chinese general manager of an IMG managed golf club.

With a masters degree in Hospitality & Tourism from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Michael has been a member of the Club Managers Association of America since 2007 and is a Certified Club Manager.

 

Ian Gardner

Director of Operation



Based in Singapore, Ian has over 20 years experience in the golf industry and has managed several high profile and award winning clubs such as Abu Dhabi Golf Club in the UAE, Hidden Tiger Golf Club in China, The Orchard Golf & Country Club in the Philippines, Mount Edgecombe Country Club in South Africa and Porter Valley Country Club in California, USA. Ian has responsibility for overseeing the operating standards at IMG’s facilities, ensuring our members and guests receive superior levels of service. He also Ian has a Bachelor of Law from the University of South Africa.

 

Laurie Walsh

Project Manager


Laurie boasts over 26 years experience in the golf industry globally working on distinguished construction projects for high profile golf course designers. With expertise in golf course project management, construction and agronomy, Laurie can provide support in project planning, scheduling, budget development, whilst adhering to international specifications. Laurie graduated from the Turf Management Programme at Ryde Horticultural College, AUS.

Neil Coulson

Director of Operations


Based in Singapore, Neil is responsible for providing pre-openning technical services and operational support for IMG's managed golf courses in Asia Pacific. He has over 12 years experience in the golf industry and has worked at several award winning clubs in Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Neil has previously worked for one of the world's leading hotel companies, General Hotel Management (GHM), managing high end golf courses in China and Malaysia. Prior to joining IMG, Neil was Operations Director for one of Europe's leading golf course management companies, Braemar Golf Developments. Based in St. Andrews, Scotland Neil provided pre-opening and operational expertise to a portfolio of leading golf resorts in Europe and the Middle East.

Neil is a member of the British PGA and Club Managers Association of America.

Liu Ling

Senior Manager China, Golf Course Services


Liu Ling is dedicated to business development for the Golf Course Management and Design in China. Liu Ling is in constant and close coordination with colleagues and clients to ensure efficient and professional communication and management work. With over 10 years in the golf industry, Liu Ling has accumulated a wealth of experience in the marketing and sales of memberships as well as operations management. Liu Ling holds a BA in Civil Engineering from Chongqing Architecture & Engineering University, China and a MA in Business Administration from Southwest Communication University, MO, USA.
